Final Fantasy IV is the fourth main installment in the Final Fantasy franchise. For some of you confused, it used to be called Final Fantasy II in US, not to be confused with Final Fantasy II. It was the first FF game on the SNES and it clearly shows what “next” generation of FF games could bring. It was originally released in 1991, then there were a crap ton of re-releases. Most popular of these are PSP’s 2011 Complete Collection, DS’s 3D remake in 2007, and PCs DS port in 2014. I’ve had the chance to play the PSP Complete Collection as well as the PC port of the 3D remake.

Final Fantasy III is the third FF game from Square. Final Fantasy III was released in 1990 for the Famicom. A remake was done in 2006 where the entire game was redone in 3D chibi style, and this was later ported to a lot of other platforms including the PSP. I played the PSP version of FFIII.

So this is a demo. The reason why I am talking about this is because my quick research shows that this takes place before the main game.

This is not to be confused with Final Fantasy XII.
Final Fantasy X-2 came out in Japan in 2003 and rest of the world in 2004 on the Playstaion 2. It is once again made by Square / Square Enix. Then it was remastered for the PS3 and PS Vita in 2013, and was ported to PS4 in 2015. And the PC version was released in 2016. The version I played was on the PS4.

Well…. this is going to be a short one.

Final Fantasy IX is the third and last FF game on the Playstation 1. It came out back in 2000. Once again, it was made by Square, today’s Square Enix. I believe there is a PC version that came out in 2016, but the version I played was the PSN version on my PSP.
A little disclaimer, some of the images are from the PC port, which I think is a remaster, so they look better than the version I played on.

This was the second Final Fantasy game I’ve played in my life. Like before, it is made by Square (Square Enix today) back in 1999. I believe there is now a PC version as well, but the one I played was from PSN and I played it on my PSP.

After years of waiting, it’s finally here!
With Final Fantasy XV out, I thought it would be a nice time to start this series of things.
I was introduced to the Final Fantasy series in my high school days, I know it’s late. I knew the name but never actually played it. Then my roommate, and very close friend of mine, introduced me to Final Fantasy VII as the gateway drug to this roller coaster. And that is how I started this series.
If you don’t already know, Final Fantasy VII is a Square (now Square Enix) JRPG game that was released n the Playstation 1 back in 1997. It was re-released on so many platforms after its incredible success. I played mine on my PSP with PSN release of the game.
